“As I’m getting older, I’m dealing with a lot more teen roles, which sometimes require a little more research, and a lot more character development.”
“Believe it or not, for 3 months I’ve been trying to plan a Magic Mountain trip with my close friends, for my birthday. My poor friend Alex Black doesn’t believe me anymore, we’ve changed the date so many times.”
“Cold Case was a lot of fun. The entire cast and crew were so much fun to work with. In fact I still talk to a few of the cast members. Emilio [Estevez, the director] was amazing. He is such a great director, and he’s great with people. He really gives you great motivation and direction with each scene. Not many directors will speak to each individual actor, expressing his vision and in return asking for your input.”
“Howie Mandel is hilarious. He’s funny even when he’s not trying. I mean he could be talking about a Hershey bar and it would crack you up. He truly has a great gift. It’s even really hard to get through scenes, because the cast and crew are laughing so hard.”
“I definitely love Hip-Hop and Jazz Funk also. It’s a little hard to fit everything in sometimes because I’m so busy, but I love taking classes at Millennium and The Edge. I’ll soon be working with a choreographer for my live performances as well.”
“I guess I don’t see myself as others do. I’m just a normal kid, like any other teen, but my main hobby happens to be acting.”
“I just booked a lead role in a feature film called Tomorrow is Today. It’s definitely a challenging role for me, and I can’t wait to get started. I’ll be leaving for the East Coast next week to start filming.”
“I just finished filming an AFI Thesis Film called The Honey Fields. The director, Matthew Gordon, was really good. He’s really great with kids. I play a character by the name of Mary Beth, and basically I break up the relationship between two brothers, and in the end one of us is killed.”
“I remember when I went to the Producer’s session for Cold Case, and he [Emilio Estevez] was so exhausted, it didn’t even look like him actually. I had to take a second look. He’s so busy as a director now, and it really shows through his work as to why he is in demand. I love his laugh! It’s hilarious. It would be awesome to be able to work with him again one day. He doesn’t really like photos, but I was able to get a photo with him on my camera phone.”
“I truly hope that I can inspire others to fulfill their dreams.”
“I’m also a competitive swimmer. A lot of people don’t know this but when I was younger, I was actually headed to the Jr. Olympics, before my career took off.”
“If you’re just starting out, the best thing for you to get started is to do community theatre and student films. They will help you build a resume so that you will be able to find an agent. Once you have an agent/manager, set your mind to what you want, attend classes and workshops to keep up your skills, and work really hard. It will always pay off if you believe in yourself.”
“In a few months I’ll start performing live. I believe one of my first performances will be at Sea World this summer. So that should be a lot of fun.”
“It’s so amazing. I had never thought making an album could be so much fun. I love the late-night recording too! It’s a little ways away, but it’ll be worth it when it’s finished.”
“My advice would be to keep striving until you fulfill your dreams. It may take awhile, or you may get lucky from the beginning, but however long it takes, it’s a learning process along the way. There will be ups and downs, as there are with any career, sport, hobby, so don’t let them distract you from your dream. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something, because you can do anything you set your mind to.”
“Unfortunately, I do not have my license yet. I’ve just been so busy! I’m taking my Driver’s Ed on-line and just about to finish up with it. You pretty much need it as a teen in this industry, so that’s my goal for the next month. When I do start driving, watch out world! I’m gonna be tearing up the streets!”
